Extended COD4 Training Mission Uncovered

Mon, 08 Sep 2008 17:02:31 +0000

One industrious modder by the name of Qrysalis has apparently uncovered a lost level from Call of Duty 4 that was abandoned later on in the development process. The new level is basically an extended version of the first training mission, which features some extra tasks between the indoor firing range and the timed obstacle course that determines your difficulty setting. Like most of these sorts of videos, it basically shows the initial scans they made of the real deal, plus his take on the whole process. And like most of the actual musicians who are put in these games, he apparently isn’t all that good with the plastic version of his trade. Of course, who’s going to argue with your Guitar Hero skills when you’re Sting?

Developer, Behemoth, may still be dealing with some online issues in their new game, Castle Crashers, but that’s not stopping them from announcing some new DLC that’s coming later on. Apparently a video was leaked online not too long ago from when they were still running a few tests on the game. It showed, among other things, a chainsaw weapon, a King, and a Necromancer; which of course prompted many fans to go, “Hey, where’s my chainsaw?” Luckily, Behemoth has responded to the video and confirmed that those items will be available later as DLC. Right now the ball’s in Microsoft’s court though, as they still need to confirm the new content for release.
